​Galen Library Bookmark Design Competition 2025

 

Competition Details​

​

• The design needs to be 21 cm long and 5.5cm wide. You can decide if your design is landscape or portrait. Both are acceptable for a bookmark.

• Your design is for one side of the bookmark. The other-side will have the Galen logo and information about the library.

• You can create the design in Photoshop, Publisher or online in programs such as Canva.

• Your design can be a drawing, a collage, a painting, a photo or anything your imagination can create. 

• You may submit more than one design.

Tips

 

• If you use photos they must be very high resolution.

• If you use graphics from the internet make sure you are not breaking copyright. If you use graphics from platforms such as Canva you are not breaking copyright so this can be a good option.

• Try and fill the whole space.

Submission

​

• Create a digital copy of your design

• Please submit your design file in the highest pixel quality available as a JPEG. If required , you may submit your design on a piece of cardboard the same size as the bookmark dimensions listed above.

• Send a copy of your design to duty.librarian@galen.vic.edu.au by 4pm Friday 14th February 2025.

• If you are submitting your design in person, please place your design in a clearly labelled plastic pocket and hand to a library staff member at the circulation desk .

What do you win?

​

• $50 voucher for art supplies or books.

• Your own copies of the printed bookmarks for family and friends.

• Your design will be professionally printed and made available to the Galen community. Hundreds of people will see your design and a copy will be displayed in the library.

Winner will be announced on 28th February 2025.
